update

Since we're starting our fabby May Day month of poetry creation, I suppose I should have a presence here in blogland.

What's been going on? Started a new half-time position. So mornings I work on my creative projects and then go into my Job in the afternoons. The job so far is unstressful yet interesting enough to keep me engaged. So it's fulfilling its role.

What are the creative projects?
First Film Fund - we've taken a few workshops, now I'm putting together a crew and hoping to shoot in July
Poetry - writing and submitting
Feature-length screenplay - at outline stage. Reading Story and William Goldman's hilarious Which Lie do I Tell?
Flash - becoming more proficient in animating and coding
Web Sites - one paid freelance project, one volunteer project, one Brilliant Idea of a site/company for me to run. And have to decide what to do with takethetiller.org
Wealth Creation - Studying The Enlightened Millionaire - inspirational!
Selling the Novel - sending out queries and chapters and synopses to publishers
The Family Novel - this will become a more focused project if WAC funds it, otherwise it stays on the bottom of the pile
The Chapbook - our writing group is putting together a second chapbook - still in the initial stages of determining content
Drawing
- trying to improve my meager skill in this area, so my storyboards don't suck - and I have a cartoon series I thought of recently...
Maya - 3D drawing! Super-fricking cool!
Piano - I recently graduated to Book 4 in the Royal Conservatory series

That's what I've worked on this first month anyway - we'll see what next month brings!
